Hi, I’m Susie Mencher, Licensed Massage Therapist and owner of In Balance Massage Therapy. Since opening my downtown Frederick studio in 2020, I’ve helped clients find relief from pain and tension, improve mobility, reduce stress, and make massage a consistent part of their wellness routine.
Life can be stressful and physically demanding, and it’s easy to put your own needs last. My approach combines skilled therapeutic techniques with intuitive bodywork, adapting each session to what your body needs in the moment. Where are you located?
In Balance Massage Therapy is located at 12 S. Market Street, Frederick, MD 21701, on the first floor of the 12 Market Street Professional Building.
Where do I park?
The easiest and most affordable parking options are the Carroll Creek Parking Garage and the Court Street Parking Garage, both of which are just a short walk (about one block) from the studio.
Limited street parking is also available. If you choose to park on the street, payment can be made using the ParkMobile app. https://www.cityoffrederickmd.gov/1341/Street-Parking
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of the scheduled service price. Clients who do not show up for their appointment without prior notice will be charged 100% of the scheduled service price.

Do you sell gift cards?
Yes! Electronic gift cards are available for purchase and never expire.
At this time, I offer e-gift cards only; physical gift cards are not available.

What should I do when I arrive for my appointment?
When you enter the building, you’ll see a white bench directly ahead. Please have a seat, and I’ll come out to greet you at your appointment time.
If you’re a new client, you’ll also find a clipboard with your intake forms, which you can complete while you wait

Professional boundaries are maintained at all times to ensure a positive experience for every client. Any inappropriate behavior or requests will result in the immediate termination of the session.
